Hot cola is a real thing – and it's been keeping Hong Kong warm for decades.
Ginger, lemon and cola, served hot, is a fixture on the menu at Hong Kong's cha chaan tengs – the casual diners found on almost every street corner there.
We reckon Cola Six, with its cinnamon, coriander seed and citrus notes, was made for this.
How to make it at home
- Add 4 slices of fresh ginger and 2 slices of fresh lemon to a cup or thick glass.
- Pour in boiling water, leaving a few cm at the top.
- Add 30ml of Cola Six syrup, then stir with a cinnamon stick.
Enjoy!
